Alliant High-Rate Checking Review

0.25% APY with eStatements and a monthly electronic deposit, no fees, and up to $20 a month in ATM rebates.

By Michael Hewitt, Founder & Editor-in-Chief. Rates last checked October 12, 2026.

Our verdict

Alliant pays 0.25% APY on checking when you take eStatements and receive at least one electronic deposit a month, with no monthly fee, no overdraft fees and up to $20 a month in ATM fee rebates. It is an online credit union with no branches, and anyone can join through an employer, a family member, a nearby community or the Alliant Credit Union Foundation, for which Alliant says it makes the one-time $5 contribution on your behalf.

Skip it if you want a branch, or won't take eStatements.
