3.75% APY on balances of $5,000 or more, and 0.25% below that. Independent CIT Bank Platinum Savings review: 4.3/5 for high-yield savings.
By Michael Hewitt, Founder & Editor-in-Chief. Rates last checked October 21, 2026.
Our verdict
CIT Platinum is for savers with a cushion already built: $5,000 or more earns 3.75% APY, and anything under $5,000 earns 0.25%. The CITBOOST code lifts it to 4.10% for 6 months if you enroll by October 31, 2026. That balance cliff and a $100 minimum to open keep it from rating higher.
Skip it if your balance will sit under $5,000, where the rate drops to 0.25%.
