By Michael Hewitt, Founder & Editor-in-Chief. Rates last checked October 12, 2026.

Our verdict

Bank of Utah's best CD rate is on the 18-month term, 4.35%, with 4.30% for a year and 4.05% at six months; the 4- and 5-year terms drop to 3.03%, so this is a short-to-medium ladder. Most terms open online with $1,000, and a 1-year Super Saver CD accepts added deposits from $500. Leaving early costs 91 or 180 days of interest.

Skip it if you want to lock a rate for four or five years, or want a 30-month CD you can open online.
