Barclays Bank CDs Review

A 4.00% headline APY with no minimum deposit, and terms from three months to five years. Independent Barclays Bank CDs review: 4.2/5 for certificates.

By Michael Hewitt, Founder & Editor-in-Chief. Rates last checked August 14, 2026.

Our verdict

With no minimum deposit and 4.15% on the 9-month term, Barclays is the short-term CD with the fewest strings attached. Rates fall as terms lengthen, to 2.50% at three years and 2.00% at five, and there's no branch to walk into. That short list of catches is why the grade is high, so keep your money at the short end.

Skip it if you want to lock a rate for three to five years, or you want a branch.
