Our verdict
Gainbridge Save is a multi-year guaranteed annuity that locks a rate for 3 to 10 years from $1,000. As read on Gainbridge's site on October 12, 2026, it prints guaranteed rates of 5.00% to 5.90% for the Traditional version, where interest is taxed each year, and 5.20% to 6.10% for the Retirement version, which is tax-deferred, and says the rate varies with the amount and term chosen. It is an insurance contract, not a bank deposit: it is not FDIC insured, the guarantee rests on the claims-paying ability of Gainbridge Life Insurance Company, which AM Best rates A- (Excellent) with a negative outlook, and taking out more than 10% a year before the term ends costs a withdrawal charge that starts at 5% plus a market value adjustment that can raise or lower the payout. Treat it as a long-term lock, not a savings account.
Skip it if you need FDIC insurance, may need more than 10% of the money before the term ends, want an insurer whose AM Best outlook is not negative, or live in New York or Puerto Rico, where it is not offered. The Traditional version is sold only outside retirement accounts, so skip that version if the money is in an IRA.

Editorial grade: B (composite score 76/100).
Highlights
Guaranteed rates of 5.00% to 5.90% on the Traditional version and 5.20% to 6.10% on the Retirement version, locked for the whole 3- to 10-year term (read on Gainbridge's site October 12, 2026; Gainbridge prints no date beside them and says rates vary with the amount and term)
Up to 10% a year can be withdrawn with no withdrawal charge or market value adjustment (10% of the premium in year one, then 10% of the contract value at the last anniversary); more than that costs a withdrawal charge of 5% in the first two years, plus a market value adjustment that can raise or lower the payout
$1,000 minimum and no expense charges other than withdrawal charges, bought directly from Gainbridge without an agent or broker, with a free-look period of 30 days (shorter in some states) and a full refund of premium
What we like
The rate is guaranteed for the full term, whatever rates do afterward
No annual fees and a $1,000 minimum, bought directly from Gainbridge without an agent or broker
On the Traditional account earnings are taxed each year, as a CD's are, with no IRS early-withdrawal penalty before 59½
Terminal-illness and nursing-home waivers of the withdrawal charge and market value adjustment are included at no cost, if you meet Gainbridge's criteria
Where it falls short
It is an annuity, not a bank product: it is not FDIC insured, and the guarantee rests on Gainbridge Life's claims-paying ability
AM Best rates the issuer A- (Excellent), its fourth-highest grade, but the outlook is negative, revised from positive on July 31, 2026
Withdrawals above 10% a year before the term ends carry a withdrawal fee and a market value adjustment
Fees, minimums, and rates
Monthly fee: No annual fees; withdrawal charge and market value adjustment above the free 10% a year. Minimum to open: $1,000. Rates and fees last checked on October 12, 2026.
